About Kutniti Watch
At Kutniti, we believe that every Indian citizen has a fundamental right to understand how their country is perceived globally: objectively and neutrally. Kutniti Watch serves this purpose. It offers a clear, data-driven lens to examine international media coverage of India.
This enables users to:
- Track disparities between domestic developments and international perceptions.
- Identify trends in how India is portrayed across geographies and topics.
- Take the first step toward improving global perception—which is to measure it accurately.
Yes. Kutniti Watch is a public service initiative of the Kutniti Foundation.
It is, in fact, the Foundation's only publicly visible project to date—the tip of the iceberg. To learn more about our parent organisation, visit kutniti.org
We are headquartered in New Delhi, India.
The Kutniti Foundation began operations in early 2015.
Over time, public demand grew for access to our internal research. Responding to this, we launched Kutniti Watch online in 2023, making our findings publicly accessible.
Kutniti Watch is entirely funded by the Kutniti Foundation, which in turn is 100% self-funded by its founders.
We do not rely on external donations or sponsorships.
We deeply appreciate the sentiment. However, we do not accept external funding.
We encourage you instead to support other impactful causes that align with your values.
No. Kutniti Foundation is a completely independent and apolitical organisation. We are not affiliated with any government, political party, or external institution.
Kutniti Watch is currently in beta because the full historical database is still being uploaded. Meaningful data analysis requires volume and depth, and we're committed to transparency even during this formative phase.
The beta release allows:
- Public access for early users and researchers
- Community feedback to help identify bugs and usability issues
- Ongoing improvement before our official launch
